Joseph Schupbach is a writer, a student, an educator, and a delight in class. he holds a BA in performance studies and is persuing a MFA in creative writing. he is a professional teaching artist in Chicago public schools and an ensemble member with Barrel of Monkeys. Also, Joseph loves the ecumenical church, dinosaurs, and earl grey tea.
Christine Neacole Kanownik is hoping you will be endeared to her by her awkward charm. So far, it has brought her great success as a poet and potential MFA student. When she is not busy making and looking at vocabulary flashcards, Christine works for Another Chicago Magazine and is a Russian Studies Major.
Erick Nordenson was born and raised in Minneapolis, Minnesota, and now finds himself living in Chicago. He plans to stay for a time. He will let you know when he decides to leave. For now he is working in publishing, and does his own bit of fiction and poetry on the side. Other recent writing projects include this bio.
Laura Smith is a recent University graduate and has her BA in Sociology and Women’s Studies. She loves her friends and family. She likes food, music, dancing, cooking, cats, NPR, beer and the wonders of the internet. Laura’s favorite thing might be traveling to locations that are either extremely hot or frozen. Her heroes are Kathleen Hannah and her grandmother Mary Margaret Magill. Currently she is a barista for a well known coffee corporation. If you have any idea what she should do with her life she is now open to suggestions.
Joe Giovannetti was born in a ramshackle cottage in Mississippi when he was three years old. He spent a few years studying at the Jackson Brass Conservatory, working extensively with tuba. He is especially interested in how things work. Have you ever seen the documentary on the Discovery Channel about how buttons are made? It's definitely Joe's favorite.
